The folks from ASUS might have revolutionized the way we use and enjoy tablets, mainly Android tablets, but today HP is the first to offer it with NVIDIA‘s brand new and impressive quad-core Tegra 4 mobile processor. Just like the popular Transformer series, the HP Slatebook x2 will be an Android tablet that docks into a keyboard for that full laptop experience.

Not only does the Slatebook x2 offer that full laptop-like experience, but just like ASUS it doubles as additional battery for the slate. HP’s Slate 7 isn’t extremely

Talk of the Verizon HTC One seems to have been a fairly popular topic over the recent weeks. Verizon hasn’t offered any announcement and HTC Director of PR Tom Harlin recently said the Droid DNA would continue to serve as the “HTC hero smartphone at Verizon.” Putting that aside, Verizon Wireless has recently announced a special offer on the Droid DNA and it has once again brought back chatter about the HTC One.

First and foremost here, the offer. This one appears to be in the simpler side. Those interested will be able to score a

Sony Xperia A Gains FCC Approval

There is nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a new smartphone hit the market, but before it is able to do so, the smartphone would have to go through the likes of some certification bodies, where among them include the FCC. We are pleased then to report that the Sony Xperia A has picked up FCC approval, where it has been filed as the SO-04E from NTT DoCoMo, which is rather strange.

Sony Xperia SP Available For Pre-Order In The US

It is not too long after the unlocked version of the Sony Xperia Z appeared on the US Sony store, and here we are with word that there is another device released to accompany the Xperia Z on Sony’s digital store shelves. We are referring to the Sony Xperia SP, which is now up for pre-order, and you can choose from either black or white colors. Regardless of the color that you pick, it will still cost you a cool $489.99 – but that is because this is an unlocked model, of course.

Blackberry 10 R-Series Gets Caught On Camera

Blackberry has released two Blackberry 10 devices to date – the Z10 and the Q10, both of which are currently enjoying high-end status, with the Q10 currently being priced around the same price that the Bold 9900 saw when it was first released. What that means is that customers looking to hop aboard the Blackberry 10 bandwagon might find it a little financially challenging, which is where the R-series is expected to come in. The R-series is expected to be Blackberry 10′s version of the Curve lineup, a series of devices which will be set at more affordable price ranges.

US Cellular, coming just as was expected, has officially begun accepting pre-orders for the Samsung GALAXY S 4. This comes in addition to the pre-orders with AT&T, however while they both have the handset priced the same, US Cellular is offering a perk for those who pre-order. Mobile malware remains a small and nascent issue, especially when compared to the scale of threats crowding around desktop OSes, but the threat that is out there continues to mostly affect Google’s Android platform. Pantech Vega Iron Spotted

Every company that rolls out smartphones ought to have flagship models that they can call their own, in order to be on par with the Joneses. Well, Pantech, one of the lesser known smartphone manufacturers from South Korea (after Samsung and LG, of course, considering how those two practically eclipse everyone else), does seem to have quite a beauty on their hands in the form of the Pantech Vega Iron which was spotted in the past, but here we are with actual photos of it (unofficial photos, of course).

iPhone 5S Rumored To Feature Fingerprint Scanning Technology

It is safe to assume that this year, Apple will be releasing a new iPhone. Whether it will be a brand new iPhone 6, or if Apple will stick to the “S” theme and release a slightly improved iPhone 5S remains to be seen, but according to Brian White, an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets, he seems to think that the iPhone 5S will be launched this year with an interesting feature – a fingerprint scanner. This fingerprint scanner was previously rumored to be destined for the iPhone 5S. A later rumor suggested that this would not be the case and it would arrive on the iPhone 6 instead. We’re not sure what’s with the back and forth, but we guess we will need to see. Unsurprisingly White thinks that there will not be major changes made to the iPhone 5S.

Whether such a device exists remains unknown, but according to Topeka Capital Markets’ analyst, Brian White, he believes that after speaking to suppliers and vendors, that Apple could be launching the alleged low-cost iPhone in July alongside the iPhone 5S.

ZTE has officially announced the GEEK smartphone. The handset was introduced during the Intel Developer Forum in Beijing, China. The key bit of detail here, this marks the first ZTE handset with Intel’s new 32nm Atom processor Z2580. Otherwise, aside from a name that we are enjoying, the handset has some average specs. By that, we mean some of the specs are half of what we are seeing on other current flagships.

Just to begin with though, the ZTE GEEK has launched with a 5-inch 1280 x 720 display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. See what we

HTC One

A quick heads up for our friends in Canada -- Telus has just dropped word that its HTC One is now available for preorder, ahead of its scheduled April 19 availability. Samsung's marketing machine kicks up a gear with new TV ad
